HTF is managed by its Steering Committee (SC), which includes one representative from each forum partner. In the SC, decisions are made regarding the meeting schedule, the formation of new Communities of Practice (CoPs), the review of new member applications, and the HTF budget, etc. The Steering Committee is chaired by the HTF Chairman, currently, Assoc Prof Serkan Turkmen of Tallinn Technical University. 

Each CoP is managed by one of the partners, who is responsible for its chairmanship and secretariat. The secretariat role can be taken up by one of the other partners of that CoP.  

The current Chairs andSsecretariats for the CoPs are: 

• CoP Noise - Chair: Dr Mario Felli (CNR); Secretariat: Dr Thomas Lloyd (MARIN) 

• CoP Flow - Chair and Secretariat: Dr Benjamin Friedhoff (DST) 

• CoP Measurement Reliability - Chair and Secretariat: Dr Felix Roettig (MARIN) 

• CoP Renewable Energy - Chair and Secretariat: Dr Francesco Salvatore (CNR) 

Membership of HTF, currently, costs 3,000 EUR per year and is open to all companies and institutes engaged in maritime hydrodynamic research. Universities receive a 50% fee reduction (i.e. 1500 EUR).
