AMT Conference Series

The international “Advanced Model Measurement Technology for the Maritime Industry (AMT)” conference series is the main platform for HTF outputs and the means of interaction for HTF members with the outside world. These conferences have been held biannually since 2009 as part of the HTF activities and benefit the maritime industry and academia by fostering interest in advanced model testing and full-scale testing methodologies, as well as measurement techniques used in the maritime sector.

The Conference Series is rooted in the HTA Network of Excellence (HTA-NoE), which launched the 1st conference at Nantes in 2009. The following seven AMT conferences took place in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2011, Gdansk in 2013, Istanbul in 2015, Glasgow in 2017, Rome in 2019, Istanbul in 2023, and the last one in Daejeon in 2025.

The proceedings of all AMT conference series are publicly available at the courtesy of the HTF members.

The AMT Conferences are currently organised and chaired by the University of Strathclyde (UoS) in its capacity as the HTF dissemination manager, in collaboration with the respective host institute for each conference. The following Table provides further details of the AMT Conference Series.
